Advertising’s Image of Women

Things to take away:

-Ads sell normalcy. Ads sell sex. Therefore, in today’s media sex=normalcy.

-Truth is NO ONE LOOKS LIKE THIS. Photoshop falsifies size.

-Women are dehumanized and shown as parts, not as a whole person. This is a slippery slope to justifying violence against them. It was done in WW2 against the Jewish and Japanese, and against Arab/middle Easterners during the Gulf War and today.
